In the footbag community there is an ongoing challenge called the “Stephen Barnes 1-shot challenge”. You film one run from your session and no matter what happens you post it on the forum for everyone to see.  I got a pretty good run on video for this.  You can check it out here:

Start: 10/31/2009 – 11:00am (hack starts at 1:00pm)

This month everything’s going down at Freewheeling Bicycles, at the corner of San Gabriel and 24th St. The event runs from 11am-4pm THIS Saturday (31st), and from the sound of things there’s gonna be a lot of great stuff there:

Don’t know if you noticed the Coffee trailer on the south side of the building, The Good Bike Coffee Cart, I have talked to Charlie, the owner and he’s gunna hook up a FrankenBike special if you bring your own mug, its $1 coffee all day!!

FreeWheeling its self will have a ton of OEM parts such as saddles, handle bars, etc, on a few tables out side.

Thanks for the heads-up on OEM parts and a killer coffee deal. Makes showing up at 11am on a Saturday just that much easier…

So I’ve been injured all summer and footbag has fallen by the wayside.  The good news is that I’m making a recovery and we should be back in session this fall.  The Texas Statewide Tournament is very much still ON and we are expecting some AWESOME out of town guests.  I put up the info for the youth hostel, which is the best cheapest place to stay in Austin.  More on the official page:

Also, Monday night 8/24 at the Mohawk on Red Rier St., I’ll be doing a footbag/comedy routine for “Famewhores”.  Should be a good show, starts at 8pm.

Session announced! 6:30pm at Sewell Park in San Marcos on Sunday 8/9.

Directions: from I-35 in San Marcos exit Aquarena springs, go west, you can’t miss it.

Sorry it’s been 2 weeks with no update.  I’ve been injured, which sucks big time.  I can’t freestyle, but I’ve found I can just kick so I’ll start doing that again.  For latest info on sessions right now, the best bet is to check our Twitter account

Hey everybody. This Saturday 5/9 we are considering moving the Saturday session to 4-6PM.  Use the earlier part of the day to get out and VOTE in city elections.

Next Saturday 5/16  is Southern Regionals in Houston, TX. So we will probably not have a session that day.
