Austin Footbag

Footbag Tournaments:

We frequently get asked, “is there  a competition for that?”.  The answer is YES.  Every year in October, Austin is host to the Texas Statewide Footbag tournament. Players from all over Texas and beyond convene in Austin for a weekend of fun casual kicking and friendly competition.  Events include Net, Freestyle, Golf and the coveted “Iron Man” title.   A date for the 2010 tournament has not been determined yet.

There are also many tournaments throughout North America each year, including the US Open, which is held in Portland, Oregon each summer.  In addition, a World Championships is held in a different city each year.

Other events you’ll find us at:

• Texas Jugglefest. February 26th-28th, 2010.  Austin is home to some extremely talented jugglers (balls, clubs, rings and much, much more!) and this event usually draws talented people from all over North America.  Expect to see some other unique quirky talents like comedy, poi and gymnastics.
• Austin Reggae Fest.  April 16th-18th, 2010.  There are always tons of hack circles at this event.  Plus, the event benefits the Austin Capital Area Food Bank
• Eeyore’s Birthday.  April 24th, 2010.  A fun event that celebrates the eccentricity and “Keep It Weird” attitude of Austin.  Hack circles galore at this event.
• Southern Regionals Footbag Tournament.  A yearly footbag event held in Houston, TX.  This year it will be in late April or early May, exact dates TBD
• Frankenbike.  A monthly bike swap meet in Austin that is always up for kicking a bag around.

School Demos:

• Round Rock ISD Wellness day.May 7th, 2010.  We will be doing demos at Great Oaks elementary.
